A/ Manufacturer recommendation is to service your air conditioner once a year

Q/ How often should I change my filters?
A/ Manufacturer recommendation is to change your filters every 30 days.

Q/ My oil or gas heating system does not go on?
A/ Check the emergency shut off switch at the top of your basement steps or emergency switch at the unit. Make sure it is in the on position.

Q/ What should I do if my air conditioning or heat pump system is frozen?
A/ Shut the equipment off. Set the thermostat from automatic to fan on.

Q/ I have a breaker that keeps tripping. Is this a problem?
A/ It is possible that there is damage to the circuit that needs to be repaired or that the circuit is overloaded. Contact an electrician to correct this problem.

Q/ What is a GFCI and do I really need it?
A/ It is a ground fault circuit interrupter and they are required in all damp locations of your home by local and federal NEC codes.

Q/ What do I do when I lose power to my home?
A/ Emergency standby generators operate automatically and simultaneously switch OFF the main circuit breaker connected to your load center and switch ON the main circuit breaker to your generator. The generator senses the utility power and makes this switch even if no one is home. It also knows when power comes back on and will automatically switch power through your home�s main load center.

Q/ My new dryer has a 4- prong cord connector and the old one had 3. What needs to be done?
A/ The new dryer requires a separate neutral conductor. An electrician needs to make the necessary changes required by NEC Codes.
